RMD Cartpaths
At golf courses RMD Pour in Place can be used
as an alternative to asphalt on cart paths and RMD Crumb Rubber can
be used as a top dressing for grass.
Cart paths are a relatively new application, somewhat
similar to use on roadways, where it has proved to be a cost effective,
quieter alternative to asphalt in southern states.
RMD
currently has an installed cartpath at Arnold Palmer's
Bay Hill Club and Lodge golf course. In addition to yielding a truer drop
site for errant shots and removing any bounce forward or backward,
the path is quieter than asphalt and has received excellent
feedback from the Club’s membership in terms of appearance, durability
and wear.
RMD Top Dressing
RMD Crumb Rubber for golf courses is an effective
top dressing for grass in high wear areas susceptible to compaction
and erosion from heavy traffic and water runoff: where carts enter
and exit paths, on slopes surrounding greens, and near tees. RMD
Crumb Rubber protects the grass root system. The black rubber also
absorbs heat, which can provide additional greening at the beginning
and end of season. A layer of crumb rubber under the greens and fairways
in golf courses may also lengthen the playing time due to less freezing
and a longer growth period.
Top dress high wear areas with RMD crumb rubber
at a rate of 600-1200 lbs/1000 square feet. This provides a layer
of 0.25 inches to 0.50 inches of rubber.
RMD Crumb Rubber is produced to varying sizes from 6 to 30 mesh.
Our crumb rubber is available worldwide through our manufacturing
facilities in the United States and Europe.
