RMD Americas was established in January 2005, and is now one of the largest rubber mulch manufacturers in America. In 2006 RMD Americas converted over fifteen million pounds of scrap tires into beneficial end-use products.

We are one of the only entirely vertically integrated rubber mulch manufacturers in the United States. We manufacture the shredding equipment, collect the raw materials, process the tires into rubber mulch, and package and sell those products.

 Our vertical integration gives us more control over quality throughout the entire production process and makes us more cost effective.  An East Coast plant infrastructure with three separate processing facilities also makes us unique.  Our plant in Cocoa, FL began operating in July of 2005.  Our plants in Sturgis, KY and Plainfield, CT have been operational for fifteen years, refining rubber tires from crudest to the finest stages for multiple end uses.

The machines we use to grind tires into mulch are designed and manufactured by our sister company, RMD, Recuperacion Materiales Diversos – Recovery of Diverse Materials– in Spain. This gives us a high level of sophistication and access to some of the best engineering expertise in the business.
